Supporting a tradition of holiday giving, Farmers Agent Mike Correa has assisted Sandpipers, a South Bay charitable organization, to support the Sugar Plum Tree.

The Sugar Plum Tree was founded in 1976 to provide gifts to children in LA's adoptive services. Through their social workers, a foster child is asked to identify the one gift he or she would like to receive. These gift requests are put on hand-made ornaments and hung on Sugarplum Trees around the South Bay during the holidays. People are encouraged to select an ornament and purchase the gift which Sandpipers will then collect and distribute.

Each year, Sandpipers hopes to share the magic of the holidays with at least 1,500 foster children by providing them a gift that will bring a smile to their face. For many of these children, this will be the only gift they will receive this holiday season.

Mike Correa has participated in the Sugar Plum Tree for the last 19 years. Saying that he "grew up on the other side of barely," Mike receives much joy from his participation. "I feel like God has treated me very well so I've got to give back."
